Conobbi i Chemical Brothers ascoltando per intero l'album Surrender in macchina con un vecchio amico che purtroppo non vedo da anni... io ero ancora 17enne. Ricordo il momento in cui iniziammo a parlare delle nostre storielle riguardo alle ragazze per le quali avevamo perso la testa, ricordo che era ormai notte fonda, che eravamo fisicamente esausti e che tale condizione ci mise l'umore giusto per iniziare una delle più belle discussioni sui sentimenti che avessi mai fatto a quell'età.

...il dialogo inizio dopo qualche minuto di pausa dalla precedente chiaccherata. Un grande momento di vita. E' incredibile che dopo questi anni passati riesca a ricordarmelo così bene...

Ricordo che l'autoradio faceva girare il CD di Surrender e che proprio in quel momento iniziò "Asleep from Day".
